2183E OS/2 2.x & WARP Device Driver Installation

Installation, where OS/2 was previously installed.

1. Boot OS2.
2. Copy the DTCIDE.ADD file from the DTC Driver diskette to the /OS2 directory on the bootable hard disk.
3. Add the DTC Enhanced IDE device driver statement.
   • BASEDEV=DTCIDE.ADD /2 [Software Switches]
4. Reboot the System.

NOTE: Any software SWITCHES entered must be the same as the DOS software, in a dual boot configuration.

New Installation.

1. Create a DTC Installation Diskette DTC D1 as follows:
   • Backup original OS2 Diskette 1 to new diskette DTC D1.
   • Edit the CONFIG.SYS file on the DTC D1 diskette.
     • BASEDEV=DTCIDE.ADD /2 [Software Switches]
   • Copy DTCIDE.ADD file from the DTC Driver diskette to the DTC D1 diskette.
2. Install OS2 according to the OS2 installation guide. When Diskette 1 is prompted, insert the DTC D1 diskette.

NOTE: Any software SWITCHES entered must be the same as the DOS software, in a dual boot configuration.
